KOKUSAI ELECTRIC CORPORATION (President and CEO: Fumiyuki Kanai, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan) is proud to announce that the Toyama Technology & Manufacturing Center where our research and development for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and production site, has introduced the “Toyama Mizuno Sato Denki (electricity)”, electric power generated by the Hydroelectric Power Stations in operation by Toyama Prefecture.
The “Toyama Mizuno Sato Denki (electricity)” is one of the three menus of “Toyama Mirai Sousei Denki (generating electricity)”, an electric power supply brand which is established by Toyama and the Hokuriku Electric Power Company. This electricity is generated from the Hydroelectric Power Stations operating by Toyama to aim for supporting of the decarbonization as well as locally grown and consumed of energy, is supplied equally to companies in the prefecture which have met specific requirements.
Our Group is striving to reduce the environmental impacts associated with the Group’s business activities as a responsibility of a global corporation while aiming to contribute to a continuous development as well as revitalizing the local community as a company located in Toyama, we have introduced the “Toyama Mizuno Sato Denki (electricity)” to the Toyama Technology & Manufacturing Center. This introduction fulfills 10% of electric power out of their electricity the Center purchases supplied from renewable energy. The Center continues to promote the introducing of natural energy and shifting to renewable energy to build a net-zero* office environment for the future.
