Registration for the “TOYAMA SDGs PROJECT”

KOKUSAI ELECTRIC CORPORATION (President and CEO: Fumiyuki Kanai, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan) is pleased to announce that our Toyama Technology & Manufacturing Center and the Group company Kokusai Electric Semiconductor Service Inc. (President and CEO: Minoru Tanaka, Head Office: Toyama-shi, Toyama, Japan; hereinafter, “KSS”) based in Toyama have registered for the “TOYAMA SDGs PROJECT”.

The “TOYAMA SDGs PROJECT” promoted by Toyama is an approach which companies and organizations located in the prefecture declare their engagement with the SDGs, provide information of their activities on the SDGs through posting to a dedicated website and such to spread those to other companies and organizations across Toyama, as well as encouraging collaborations among the prefectural and city governments and companies based in this prefecture.

Since the operation of Toyama Technology & Manufacturing Center started in 1989 in Yatsuo, Toyama, we have produced high-quality, high-performance, and highly productive semiconductor manufacturing equipment at the Center and shipped to major semiconductor device manufacturers across the globe. In addition, KSS has also created a wide range of technologies and offered services ones from the head office in Yatsuo, Toyama, by their installation/setup, maintenance services of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and the other from the Kamiichi Center located in Nakaniikawa District by producing electric application devices such as Ultrasonic Cleaning device and Resistivity Measuring systems.

This time, as the companies located in Toyama, we promote our objective and engagement toward the SDGs achievement by registration for the “TOYAMA SDGs PROJECT”.
