KOKUSAI ELECTRIC CORPORATION (President and Chief Executive Officer: Kazunori Tsukada, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) participated RE100, a global initiative that aims to achieve 100% of the electricity used in members' businesses renewably.
RE100 is an international initiative made up of influential companies worldwide who aim to switch to 100% renewable energy for their business operations. By participating in RE100, our group is actively promoting the introduction of renewable energy into our facilities and aims to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2030. We will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by promoting the introduction and transition to renewable energy. We have received support from the Japan Climate Leaders' Partnership (JCLP), a coalition of Japanese companies that pursue sustainable economic prosperity and, decarbonized society.
Under the corporate slogan “Technology & Tai-wa for Tomorrow,” we will pursue economic, environmental, and social values from both business and ESG (resolving environmental and social issues and strengthening governance) aspects, with the aim of contributing to the achievement of SDGs and realizing a sustainable society and our group’s sustainable development.
