Recognized by Toyama Prefecture as a “Toyama Women's Active Enterprise”

KOKUSAI ELECTRIC CORPORATION (President and CEO: Fumiyuki Kanai, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan) was recognized by Toyama Prefecture, where our development, design, and production base is located, as a Toyama Women's Active Enterprise.

A certificate presentation ceremony was held at Toyama Prefectural Civic Center on Thursday, September 5. Teruhiko Kawakami, Corporate Vice President (CVP) and Executive Officer of the company, attended and accepted a certificate from Hachiro Nitta, Governor of Toyama Prefecture. Kawakami has been appointed by Toyama Prefecture as the Chief Gender Equality Officer of the company, taking on the roles of promoting women’s active participation in professional life, supporting the balance between work and family, and improving gender equality in the workplace.

Under the framework of Toyama Women's Active Enterprise, Toyama Prefecture recognizes companies and other entities in the prefecture where women actively participate to help achieve company growth and well-being. 19 companies, including KOKUSAI ELECTRIC CORPORATION, were recognized this year, and there are currently 76 Toyama Women's Active Enterprise.

Under the corporate slogan "Technology & Tai-wa for Tomorrow," we will pursue economic, environmental, and social values from both business and ESG (resolving environmental and social issues and strengthening governance) aspects, with the aim of contributing to the achievement of SDGs and realizing a sustainable society and our group’s sustainable development.
