The Toyama Technology & Manufacturing Center, which is engaged in the manufacturing and development of semiconductor production manufacturing, has received a Silver rating in Responsible Business Alliance’s (hereinafter “RBA”) Validated Assessment Program (hereinafter “VAP”) audit.

RBA is the world's largest industry coalition dedicated to ensuring responsible business operation in global supply chains and sets standards, as the RBA Code of Conduct, for ensuring that workers are treated with respect and dignity, that working environments are safe, and that business activities are responsible for the natural environment and conducted ethically. A VAP audit is an assessment performed by a third-party auditing organization to see whether the operation of a business establishment is conducted properly in conformance with the RBA Code of Conduct.

The Silver rating we have earned this time certifies that the Toyama Technology & Manufacturing Center properly manages the five categories specified in the RBA Code of Conduct: Labor, Health and Safety, the Environment, Ethics, and Management System. Following this, we will aim for an even higher rating and further pursue our business activities in line with the RBA Code of Conduct.

Under the corporate slogan of “Technology & Tai-wa for Tomorrow,” the KOKUSAI ELECTRIC Group will continue to pursue economic, environmental, and social values in terms of both our business activities and ESG initiatives (to resolve environmental and social issues and strengthen governance) and thereby contribute to the achievement of SDGs, while striving to achieve both the realization of a sustainable society and the sustainable development of the KOKUSAI ELECTRIC Group.
